Use Precautions of Pipette
It is very crucial to correctly and properly use the pipette, which is worthy of being paid great attention to by the operators. To prevent pipette damage and personal injury, learning about the use of precautions is very necessary. The following precautions should be taken when using Advanced Fully Autoclave Single-Channel Fixed Pipettes, Advanced Half Autoclave Single Channel Fixed Pipettes, Standard Single Channel Fixed Pipettes, Electronic Control Digital Pipettes, Advanced Half Autoclave Single Channel Fixed Pipettes.
Pipetting Precaution
First of all, remember do not pipette if the tip is not installed. At the beginning of the sample pipetting operation, it is necessary to keep it slow and stable by preventing the sample from entering the solution extractor, in case of the occurrence of air leakage due to the excessive speed. To obtain high precision, it is essential to extract the sample solution once before the formal pipetting, especially when dealing with the serum protein solution or organic solvent.
It is possible to form a “liquid film” on the inner wall, which would cause a small drainage volume. In particular, it is strictly forbidden to extract solutions with strong volatility and strong corrosiveness, such as concentrated acid and alkaline.

1. Aspiration and drainage
Vertical aspiration; the tip of the tip is immersed in the liquid surface below 3mm. The tip of the tip is pre-flushed in the liquid before the aspiration; slow suction and slow release; if the amount is small when the liquid is discharged, the tip of the tip should be the inner wall of the container.
2. Pipette placement
Pipettes that hold liquid should not lay flat, and the liquid inside the tip can easily contaminate the inside of the gun and may cause the spring of the gun to rust. If the pipette is not in use, it is recommended to hang it vertically on the pipette holder. The product should be adjusted to maximum after each experiment, allowing the spring to return to the prototype to extend the life of the pipette.
3. When sucking the liquid, be sure to release the thumb slowly and smoothly. Never let it suddenly loosen, in case the solution is sucked too fast and flushed into the pipette of the pipette to corrode the plunger and cause air leakage.
4. In order to obtain higher precision, the sample solution needs to be sucked once before the sample is taken, and then the liquid is officially pipetted. When the serum protein solution or the organic solvent is taken up, a “liquid film” remains on the inner wall of the tip, causing the liquid discharge amount. It is too small and produces errors.
Other Precautions
Check for leakage during the use of a pipette. The method is to extract the solution and put it vertically for a few seconds to observe whether the solution level has dropped. Also, make sure the pipette can adapt to high temperatures before being autoclaved.
