How to Operate Mechanical Pipette
First of all, do remember not to set the knob beyond the measuring range, otherwise, the internal mechanical units will be got stuck and thus damage the pipette.
Secondly, it is about the assembly of pipette tips. We can vertically insert the pipette into the tip and rotate the pipette slightly to the left and to the right several times, then the two parts will be connected tightly. Moreover, it should be noticed that we cannot knock the tip box hardly, because this will make the internal parts of the pipette, including the spring, become loose due to the instant impact force, and even make the scale adjusting knob get stuck.
Thirdly, before we absorb the liquid, we should use our thumbs to press the button to the first stop point and keep the pipette upright. Next, we can insert the tip into the liquid and keep it 2 to 3 mm under the liquid level. Finally, we loosen the button slowly to the original point and take out the pipette.
Lastly, we move the pipette into the container, and press the button to the first stop point to dispense the liquid. Then, we pause for a moment and keep pressing the button to the second stop to expel the residual liquid. At last, we loosen the button.

(1)Types of Pipette Tips: Pipette tips are a kind of consumables designed to avoid cross contamination, which is often used in molecular biology, cytology, virology and other experiments. For experiments with high sensitivity requirements, or precious samples or reagents that are easily disabled, a low adsorption tips can be chosen to improve the recovery rate. The surface of the low-adsorption tips has been hydrophobically treated, which can reduce the residual of the low-surface tension liquid in the tips.
